XWiki Enterprise Manager is XWiki's global administration solution. It offers the ability to create new wikis on-demand and provides the infrastructure tools -global user management, detailed statistics- required to manage many wikis at the same time.

Creating a new wiki in XEM
XWiki Enterprise Manager is typically used to manage public or private wiki farms. It can be used to offer either open or closed wiki-creation capabilities. Here are typical use cases:
- Public wiki farm with wiki creation allowed for every registered user (à la MyXWiki.org)
- Private wiki farm with wiki creation allowed for users
- Private wiki farm where admins only can create new wikis
